The Organizing Committee for the Victory Day celebration in Toronto with deep regret announces that on 22 December 2015, after heavy and long illness, at the age of 69, died Gennady Vilensk). Gennady took an active part in the Committee. Thanks to his efforts we were able to negotiate with the Canadian military base for a joint event dedicated to Victory Day. It was very important that our veterans and the community to meet adequately the 70th anniversary of Victory Day in Toronto and he did a lot for this noble goal. It is hard to realize that we have gone on such an active, purposeful and cheerful man who by his personal example inspired and inspiring others. We grieve over the death of Gennady, we express our sincere condolences to the family and friends.
